September 12-14, 2016, The Westin Nova Scotian, Halifax (NS)
Less than 10 days left to submit to the Call for Presentations!
Set against the backdrop of vibrant and picturesque Halifax, the 2016 Livable Cities Forum: Changing Climate, Changing Communities will explore themes of extreme weather and building community resiliency. For this landmark fifth edition of the Forum, delegates will be able to learn from experts by attending a diverse selection of high caliber plenaries, panel discussions, workshops, and presentations.
The program for this year's Forum is currently under development, and we are looking for vibrant and diverse speakers to fill our roster. Presentations should focus on climate change adaptation, but can be approached from various perspectives (environmental, economic, infrastructural, social etc.). Ideally, presentations will fit into one or more of the following Forum themes:
- Preparing Canadians for a changing climate;
- Responding to extreme weather and climate change;
- Mainstreaming implementation in Canadian communities; and
- Measuring progress on climate action.
If you would like to submit a proposal to speak at this year’s Forum, please visit www.livablecitiesform.com/program and fill out the Call for Presentations application form, and email it to LCF2016@iclei.org by Friday, April 15, 2016.
Please contact LCF2016@iclei.org for any questions or concerns about speaking at the Forum.
